FIRST Robotics Team #4146
The last two days have been filled with fine tuning our robot. We’ve adjusted a few things on our climber and have successfully made two 30 point climbs in matches. One of those we dumped into the pyramid goal! In the matches afterwards, we had a few problems with one of our clamps on our [...]
February 19 was Stop Build Day, and we finished bagging at 11:59! It was a great night and we are excited to continue working until competition. In other news, we have turned in the Chairman’s Award! If you do not know, the Chairman’s Award is the prestigious award a FIRST team can win. It recognizes [...]
Duel in the Desert was awesome! We sent a group to set up our pyramid and the field on Friday, and in the morning, we set off to participate! Unfortunately, we came across some unforeseen problems, but we will be ready for Bag & Tag! All of the other teams who participated were wonderful. It [...]
We got a lot done last week! The Ditto has been completely manufactured, and we have mounted it to the TARF. It’s upside down here, but you get the picture! The Controls team worked with the pneumatics and logitech controllers. Operations has been working on grants for next season as well as continuing work for [...]
We’ve finally begun producing the robot! On Saturday, several students traveled to STARA Technologies to begin work on the shooter and frame. We’re almost done completing the shooter; we call it the DITTO. Originally, we were going to make it out of polycarbonate, so DITTO was short for: Disc Input Totally Translucent Output. However we [...]
Hello everyone! The last couple of days have been pretty hectic! We have a firm grasp on our design after many prototypes. Here’s the image of our CAD from Monday: Have an idea of what we could name it? Tonight, STARA brought the pyramid in! It doesn’t have the feet, but we’re excited to actually [...]
Today we’ve started our new newsletter using Mail Chimp. If you want to see it, click here. STARA is still working on the steel pyramid that they are going to donate to us. Our robot design is finally coming into place. We should begin working on the robot this week!
We were able to accomplish a lot of shooter prototyping, as well as working on the CAD today. The Controls team worked on some of the autonomous code. We have an early release day tomorrow, so we are working more hours.
We accomplished a lot today. First of all, the Kitbot officially moves! We had some problems with the WiFi setup, but we fixed the problem. We also worked on the Shooter prototype. Right now we have the frame as well as the mounting plate. We finished the Practice field, besides the pyramid. David, Alex, John, [...]
After having Sunday off, the Sabercats are back in the shop! We met right after school and were excited to get started. The Control Systems team, led by Lewis Ruskin had a productive day. Lewis did a great overview of the control system components and the types of electrical connections we use. The new members worked [...]
